ARTICLE 3: WEB BASED COMPENSATION AND PLANNING
Assalammualaikum
and hello everyone. Now, we will discuss about web based compensation and
planning issue. For me, this issue is a very important and interesting topic to
analyze. Why I said that, this is because, from presentation activity by
FatinIzzaty group (26th November 2012 / Monday ), I get more input
and knowledge about this topic. I will share with you as readers my blog what I
understand from this topic.
Firstly,
when we talk about web based compensation and planning, the questions of
‘definition’ will be arise. According to Kavanagh ( 2012 ) the basic
compensation system includes base pay, merit pay, short-term and long-term
incentives, perquisites, recognition awards and attraction or retention awards.
The
important things I took away from this topic also I understand about the meaning
of web-based compensation and web based benefits planning. Web based
compensation is an online approach that helps an organization to manage,
analyze, gather and store the information regarding the compensation. It is a
web based that provides a set of secure regarding the web bases payment,
pension and also insurance application. Web based benefits planning is been
used to organize the benefits planning in the organization by the combination
between the human resources information and payroll processing. From the
presentation activity, I know that components of online compensation systems
liked fixed compensations, variable compensations and stock.
From
the presentation activity also I know about the advantages when organization
uses this system. The advantages like they can improve effectiveness either by
in terms of the accuracy of information or by using the technology to simplify
the process. Besides that, this system also can give implications for managers
such as although e-compensations and e-benefits creates new opportunities for
line managers and employees the organizational practices can be limited in
using these opportunities because of a lack of time and the willingness to pick
them up.
In
the end of session class on that day, Dr. RoyaAnvarigives assignment to do. The
assignment about Case Study: Grandview
Global Financial Services, INC.From this case study, we must answer three
questions to increases our understanding about this topic. In a conclusion, I
can analyze and know about the example of compensation application in human
resource information system context such:
